COMMUNITY

“So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.”
1 Thessalonians 2:8, NKJV
Christianity is not a spectator sport.
But often it seems to function this way.
Normally people go to a worship service and they feel that they didn’t get an opportunity to contribute.
But it is God’s desire that we contribute to the community of believers.
We are all called to be totally engaged in the church because the church is not a building, it is people.
The Greek word for church, ekklesia, means ‘a called out assembly’. The Church is a group of people.
The Church is often called a ‘body’ in the Scriptures. This implies interconnectivity.
